MINOR PROJECT 01

Project 01 is an opportunity for  us to understand well and more about the construction of a certain furniture, in term of  furniture design development, operation and handling, and so on. Each of the student has to find a chair and its designer which created around 1920s to 2000s.

Introduction : "Holscher" chair by Poul Kjaerholm

The origin of the name "Holscher"

The "Holscher chair" acquired its name because of the steel tube construction made by the blacksmith Svend Holscher, the father of professor Knud Holscher. Svend Holscher was a blacksmith in the small town of Rødby, his son Knud was a good friend of, and studied together with, Poul Kjærholm. 

The chairs were manufactured for friends and for the Kjærholm family. The winding of the flag halyard was done by Hanne and Poul Kjærholm, Knud Holscher and in this case by Holø Bergljot. Once Exhibited by Danish Arts and Crafts Spring Exhibition.

HOLSCHER CHAIR - (scale model)

By doing this scale model, I understand more about the construction of Holscher Chair and also the material. I learnt the method of connection of the steel tubular which is welded, and also the method of applying the flag halyard.

UNIQUE + RE-THINK

This is a group assignment, 3 students in a group. By using the idea of SUSTAINABILITY, this project is to do a BOOK RACK by used materials. 

Task : Full Scale Model, and A1 size presentation board.

MINOR PROJECT 03

RECEPTION COUNTER 

This is an individual project that collaborate with our  Design Studio final project. To design a reception for our boutique hotel. 

Task : A1 presentation board and scale model.

PROGRESS OF RECEPTION COUNTER

My final project is Theme Boutique hotel which has the concept of 'sense creates your way'. Every each of the floor has the theme by following ground, nature and sky. Therefore, this reception has follow the theme of ground.

IDEA : This reception counter is design based on the idea of rustic by using rough material.

KEYWORDS : CAMOUFLAGE.RHYTHM.REPETITION

The first proposal of reception ideas, with concept and keyword. Case studies had help me understand more the space, dimension and so on.
